Job Description

oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores' sales departments. Make sure customer service representatives, cashiers, and store department managers perform their duties to a high standard and that customers are satisfied with their shopping experiences.

Responsibilities of the job include:
  • recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff.
  • managing budgets.
  • maintaining statistical and financial records.
  • dealing with customer queries and complaints.
  • overseeing pricing and stock control.
  • maximizing profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so.
  • ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • preparing promotional materials and displays.
  • liaising with the head office.

Ability to Supervise:
  • 30 to 50 people.
  • 3 years of experience in the same retail field.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-paced environment.

  • Tight deadlines.
